Product Spotlight: Johnson Controls V46 Series of pressure actuated modulating valves.

Produced for both refrigerant systems as well as saltwater applications, the V46 series from Johnson Controls features numerous benefits.  This series was designed to be “direct-acting” with quick open option on increased pressure, and “reverse-acting” to close on pressure increase.  These devices control water flow to a condenser by sensing the changes in pressure through a refrigerant cycle.

The valve design is pressure balanced so that the setpoint is separate from the water inlet pressure.  These include pressure resistant bellows where refrigerant pressure grows up to 28-bar.  Likewise, the V46 series is pressure-actuated for fast and direct variations in pressure. They offer a high flow capacity with their smaller dimensions, in both angled body types and straight line, available in 3/8”, ½” and ¾” for a high Kv value.

Belimo's NFB Series Damper Actuators

The Model SC is a series of AC current switches which are "split-core".  These solid-state switches activate contact closure when monitored current surpasses a pre-set level. Capable of monitoring to 200 Amps continuous, this series has the added benefit of an auto-range circuit, replacing manual jumpers.

Integrating into a network? Select the Veris U0 Series for easy translation of protocols.

Network integration has never been more simplified with Veris Industries products.  Veris produces Serial-to-Ethernet protocol converters for a number of applications including energy management, building automation and data center management systems.  The U0 Series, U013-0012 Modbus Gateway or either the U013-0013 and U013-0015 BACnet Routers provides access to all Veris RTU and BACnet MS/TP products respectively, over a network via their protocol.

The U013-0012 uses Modbus TCP, while the U013-0013 and U013-0015 utilizes BACnet IP.  Offering a faster operation speed of the two BACnet options, the U013-0015 (or LX model) handles more BACnet Broadcast Management Devices, or BBMDs.

These 3 products execute a simple, quick network configuration and setup serial communication parameters by way of integral web browsers. They also enable translation of serial protocols to their respective network protocol, without any device-specific translation required.

The U0 devices are easy to set up, requiring no product-specific configuration and are DIN rail mount for simple installation.  And connection of multiple devices on one network drop is an added bonus.

Product Spotlight: The C2DOS Series CO2 Transmitters from Greystone Energy

Greystone Energy released the C2DOS Series in 2022, replacing their CDD4 series of room CO2 transmitters with optional temperature sensing.  This device employs an accurate “non-dispersive infrared” or NDIR sensor within a vented, weatherproof enclosure which monitors outside levels of Carbon Dioxide.  Using dual-wavelength optics and LTA (long-term adjustment) signal processing, this technology provides both reliability and long-term accuracy.

The C2DOS Series replaced the CDD4 Series


Having infrared technology to monitor CO2, the transmitter operates with a linear 4-20 mA or 0-5/10 Vdc signal for outputs which are field selectable.  The unit enlists a programmable CO2 measurement span, and the display features a back-lit alphanumeric LCD that includes user-friendly menu for quick set up.  Greystone produces the C2DOS with optional features, including resistive temperature sensors (NTC, Type 2 and 3, 100 Ohm Platinum, and 1000 Ohm Nickel to name a few), a control relay option with programmable setpoint, hysteresis and time delay, and a heated or unheated enclosure.

The outside carbon dioxide transmitters are 5.3” wide by 7.2” tall, and 3.5” deep.  This series includes .85” knockouts for conduit connections and can be mounted directly to building wall face using provided mounting holes.  It connects to a Building Automation System using the 3 wire configuration with screw block terminal provided.
