Senva’s TotalSense™ Series: 9 Technologies For Optimum Indoor Air Quality.

Setting the standard for measuring air quality, Senva’s TotalSense™ series provides the most advanced ventilation control to date, all while limiting installation costs and time relevant to a project's completion.

Senva's TotalSense™ Series Indoor Environmental and Air Quality Sensor

One can choose which of the 9 data sets are desired for any setting as the TotalSense™ Series is fully customizable. It becomes the first IAQ sensor to include motion detection (Passive Infrared).  These units also feature BACnet or Modbus communication and/or analog outputs with set-point relay.

TotalSense™ indoor environmental and air quality sensors yield the following selection of IAQ sensing:  carbon dioxide (CO2), relative humidity (RH), temperature, occupancy (PIR), total volatile organic compounds/plus Formaldehyde (TVOC/CH2O), particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), barometric pressure, and ambient light.

With motion detection, the unit is able to initiate ventilation upon occupancy.  Once presence is detected, air exchanges are made and elevated CO2 levels are monitored. Senva’s technology provides quicker ventilation response creating safer and cleaner indoor spaces while at the same time saving energy.

Find the right TotalSense™ Indoor Environmental and Air Quality Sensor at e-controls.net.  We offer a wide variety of sensors made in the U.S.A by Senva.  Each comes backed with a 7-year limited warranty (3 years on CO2 sensor/ 2 years on all others).  E-Controls.net, Your Online Source For Building Automation Supplies.

Setra's LITE™ Series Features New Configuration Options

NEW CONFIGURATIONS FOR SETRA LITE™

Setra has made some adjustments to the options available on their LITE™ Series of Pressure Indicators.

Recently, the product was only offered with transducer range (In WC or Pa) and Accuracy.  The device is now produced with several customizations available for a wide range of applications.

Setra's LITE™ Series

Along with Transducer Range and Accuracy the customizing features choice of Alarm (Visual only or Audio and Visual), Mounting Location (Outside Room or Inside Room), Color (White or Black), Orientation (Portrait or Landscape), and Additional Accessories including Quick-Mount Kits, or Dual Alert.  These additional accessories were designed for different use cases;

For ‘Monitor Only’ no accessory needed, and the LITE is used for permanent, simple monitoring of air flow.  The ‘Dual Alert’ accessory provides the simple monitoring of air flow where the status is needed in both spaces.  When ordered with the “Quick Mount Kit” accessory, the LITE is enabled to simply monitor air flow on a temporary basis, or when needed.

The room pressure monitor now offers a visual and audio alarm.

There are many different needs for many different applications, and the LITE Visual Pressure Monitor provides a cost effective, yet highly accurate method to measure and display the room differential pressure for areas that require a manual verification.

With many features that are normally found in larger, more complex room pressure monitors, the Setra LITE sensor utilizes Setra’s pinpoint accuracy and the reliability that you have come to expect.  And installation is simple, since the unit is small comparatively; it fits in a single-gang US electrical box, powered by 24VDC or VAC.

The updated Data Sheet can be found here, and it covers everything you need to know about any configuration you choose.

Siemens QFA3200 Series Sensors; Designed for Room Humidity and Temperature

The QFA3200 Series Room Sensors, manufactured by Siemens Building Technologies, are produced for use with Siemens T.E.C.’s (Terminal Equipment Controllers). These devices combine sensors for relative humidity and temperature in one housing to advance room aesthetics and decrease installation time.

Siemens QFA3280.DWSC

The controller and sensor communicate via an RJ-11 connection for simple, mistake-free wiring. The housings also include an RJ-11 tool port at the bottom for connecting to the Siemens platform configuration, and start-up tools at installation.

Speaking of installation, these sensors include all necessary hardware for standard mounting in a 2”x 4” electrical box, with straightforward instructions. These include the trim rings and matching gaskets, screws, and anchors which are provided for wall-mounting.

There are 3 variations regarding the display. The 4-character code at the end of the part number beginning with “D” indicate it has an LCD Display, while the “E” indicates No Display (to prevent unauthorized adjustments), and the “F” indicates Full HMI.

(You can find a link to the datasheet here.)

Here are a few more technical specifications of the QFA3200 Series

Measurement range humidity: 0-100% Relative Humidity

Operating voltage:  P1 connection to TEC

Analog outputs: P1 (BACnet TEC)

Measuring range temperature: 32 to 122°F; 0 to 50°C

Measurement accuracy:  Temperature: +/- 0.9°F;  Humidity: +/-2% between 10 to 90% RH, +/-3% outside this range

Communication: For use with BACnet TEC controller only

Belimo’s Zone Valve Series: For On/Off Control in Compact Areas.

Do you have a need for zone valve control, but the operational area is unyielding or compressed?  The Belimo Electronic Zone Series may be your optimal solution.  Designed for compact areas where On/Off control is needed using 120 or 24VAC, the Zone Valve Series may be best used in a hydronic system application.

Belimo's Zone Series Compact Valve Actuators

Belimo’s ZONE Series provides an economical way to produce individual zones or equipment isolation within these systems.  Employing one pump and multiple zone valves, the flow operation may be stopped, started, or diverted through the system to enable individual area (or room) comfort control resulting in energy economizing.

The ZONE Series is frequently applied on fan coil units, baseboards, or other applications that require “fail-safe” execution or 2-wire control.  The valve is appropriate for a hydronic system with constant or variable flow.

They are available to function as a 2 or 3-way valve, and in either sweat or NPT connections of ½, ¾, or 1”.  The overall unit size is minimal, coming in at roughly 4” long, by 4.5” tall by 2.5” wide, perfect for tight spaces.  Many of the operational specifications are disclosed on the datasheet (link here).

These units are versatile, with installation allowing for a horizontal or vertical manner.  Durability is a plus, with the valve body made of forged brass and the stem of stainless steel.  The body pressure rating is 300 psi and close off pressure range is 20-75 psi, and can service chilled or hot water, or 50% glycol.

E-Controls.net offers 137 different variations, covering many possible requirements your system may have.  Stop by and check us out today for these or any of your building automation supply needs.

The Honeywell Sensepoint XCD Series

Honeywell Analytics’ Sensepoint XCD Series transmitters offer complete gas monitoring both indoors and outdoors in potentially explosive atmospheres.  With many key features and benefits, the Sensepoint XCD stands above the competition in all phases.

FLEXIBILITY:  For ‘hard to reach’ areas, or where the transmitter must be separated from the sensor, Honeywell has designed the XCD with remote monitoring capabilities, providing the ideal solution.  The sensor can be mounted up to 100 ft (30m) away from the transmitter, enabling points of detection in areas not easily accessible.

EASE OF USE:  These devices are self-configuring at startup.  Modifying the detector operation can be done via magnetic switches, thus no opening of unit needed.  The tri-color backlit LCD with simple status indication is user friendly.  The XCD was designed for maximum ease of use. The unit also comes with Modbus communications for remote diagnostics.

COST EFFECTIVE:  Honeywell’s Sensepoint XCD series reduces costs by minimizing the training required to operate, enabling a plug-in sensor replacement system, and that every model already includes all necessary accessories.

ALL-IN-ONE SOLUTION:  Sensepoint XCD offers flammable (catalytic or infrared), toxic, and oxygen versions.  Housing options include explosion-proof stainless steel or aluminum.  Applications served include new or retrofit, indoor or outdoor.
