Belimo's Non Fail-Safe Actuators Are Used For Many HVAC Applications

You may be asking, what does non-fail safe mean?  For HVAC actuators “non fail-safe” denotes that the device stays in its last position setting upon power loss or disruption to it. Belimo's NFB Series Damper Actuators

Integrating into a network? Select the Veris U0 Series for easy translation of protocols.

Network integration has never been more simplified with Veris Industries products.  Veris produces Serial-to-Ethernet protocol converters for a number of applications including energy management, building automation and data center management systems.  The U0 Series, U013-0012 Modbus Gateway or either the U013-0013 and U013-0015 BACnet Routers provides access to all Veris RTU and BACnet MS/TP products respectively, over a network via their protocol.

The U013-0012 uses Modbus TCP, while the U013-0013 and U013-0015 utilizes BACnet IP.  Offering a faster operation speed of the two BACnet options, the U013-0015 (or LX model) handles more BACnet Broadcast Management Devices, or BBMDs.

These 3 products execute a simple, quick network configuration and setup serial communication parameters by way of integral web browsers. They also enable translation of serial protocols to their respective network protocol, without any device-specific translation required.

The U0 devices are easy to set up, requiring no product-specific configuration and are DIN rail mount for simple installation.  And connection of multiple devices on one network drop is an added bonus.

Refer to this datasheet for more details specifications on downstream (device) interfaces, upstream (controller) ethernet interfaces, input power requirements and temperature/RH conditions for optimal operation. 

The U013-0013 and 0015 both come with a 2 year limited warranty and the U013-0012 is offered with a  5 year warranty from Veris Industries.

Also, as part of this family are the U013-0010 and -0011 input/output modules.  The -0010 supports 23 independent pulse count inputs, while the -0011 is an analog/pulse/resistance for 8 selectable inputs. Refer to their datasheet for more functionality and features.  Please note: power supplies are not included with either.  Both the Veris U013-0010 and U013-0011 come with their limited 2 year warranty.

Siemens QFA3200 Series Sensors; Designed for Room Humidity and Temperature

The QFA3200 Series Room Sensors, manufactured by Siemens Building Technologies, are produced for use with Siemens T.E.C.’s (Terminal Equipment Controllers). These devices combine sensors for relative humidity and temperature in one housing to advance room aesthetics and decrease installation time.

The controller and sensor communicate via an RJ-11 connection for simple, mistake-free wiring. The housings also include an RJ-11 tool port at the bottom for connecting to the Siemens platform configuration, and start-up tools at installation. 

Speaking of installation, these sensors include all necessary hardware for standard mounting in a 2”x 4” electrical box, with straightforward instructions. These include the trim rings and matching gaskets, screws, and anchors which are provided for wall-mounting. 

There are 3 variations regarding the display. The 4-character code at the end of the part number beginning with “D” indicate it has an LCD Display, while the “E” indicates No Display (to prevent unauthorized adjustments), and the “F” indicates Full HMI.

Simple Operation: The controller offers complete zoning options, permitting the comparing and averaging of multiple sensor readings.  The biggest benefit of zoning is that brief, localized fluctuations detected at a single transmitter will not activate relays.  This is key when trying to reduce the run time of fans. Honeywell Analytics 301C Controller

The Honeywell Analytics 301C Controller detects, monitors and controls gases.  It is energy efficiency and easy to install.  The controller can allow up to 126 zoning groups and can manage up to 180 events with programmable latching alarms.  Using an addressable RS-485 communication protocol, the 301C uses daisy chain wiring to connect up to 96 transmitters in three loops. This simplifies installation.  BACnet/IP is available. The 301C’s zoning, voting, and averaging abilities reduce operational and maintenance costs. When the 301C is used for a gas detection, your structure is compliant with the industry’s most demanding safety and energy guidelines. The 301C controller offers automatic sensor identification and unique zoning capabilities. Readings from transmitters can be evaluated by averaging or voting. For example, voting can be used to activate fans only when one-third of the sensors in a zone report gas, thus avoiding excessive response to a single car idling. Time delays can be configured to prevent false alarms or to reduce power cycling of a fan.  The controller can detect when a single sensor reading is higher than others. Responses can be made to match time of day, day of week, or other external input.
