Ideal for commercial residential applications, the 7139CS series from Gentex remains a popular option for those buildings requiring compliance with ANSI/UL, IBC/IFC/IRC and NFPA Standards.

These smoke alarms are photoelectric in sensing, meaning they use a light beam to detect smoke, which is deemed more effective at sounding when fire develops from a smoldering source according the NFPA.

Where both audible and visual alarms are required, the 7139CS fits the bill with it’s visual signaling appliance, designed to give early and reliable detection of smoke. Included is a 9-volt battery backup to the 120 VAC power requirement. The 7139LS version includes a 9-foot power cord, making this version completely portable.

Once activated, the 7139CS(LS) models will initiate a 90 dB audible signal along with a high intensity strobe that flashes once per second at 177 candela.

The bright light ring on the monitor is clearly visible from a distance and varying angles.  The pressure value on the digital display allows for always-on or momentary indication, and a Positive or Negative room mode.

Designed to install neatly within a single gang electric box, the Lite provides a visual representation of the pressure by way of Setra’s capacitive pressure sensor.  The Lite canalso integrate with your building management system via an analog output for pressure signaling.  It also includes connectivity to the Setra FLEX™ Environmental Room Monitor.  Most notably, the Lite was designed to replace the previously burdensome “ball/tube through wall” pressure indicators.

Greystone’s TE200B Series Replaced By TSAP Series

 

Several lines of Greystone Energy’s temperature products have been redesigned and released throughout the past year with new enclosures and new features.  These changes have prompted new model numbering across their catalog.  The popular TE200B Series of duct mounted temperature sensors previously employed a round ABS enclosure which has been updated with the hinged box-type enclosure, or TSAP Series.

The TSAP Series All Purpose Duct/Immsersion Temperature Sensor 

The TSAP all-purpose, single point temperature sensor is encapsulated in a 6 mm, 304 series stainless steel probe.  They are offered in lengths of 4, 6, 8, 12 and 18”.  These probes offer impressive heat transfer, quick response and resist moisture penetration.  The compact ABS enclosure with a hinged and gasketed cover is provided for ease of installation. 

For Duct applications:  Probes are installed in side of duct for single point temperature monitoring with the duct.  Note: Probe length needs to span the duct width. Install in straight section of duct with acceptable distance from any humidification, cooling or heating devices.

For Immersion applications: Probe needs installation in proper length thermowell determined by pipe size. For more information on use of conductive compound for thermal transfer, and types of thermowells needs per application, please refer to the installation instructions for the TSAP Series.
